Out of the seven days in a week, four days of that week, I am in a uniform.
My job, thankfully, requires me to wear jeans a t shirt and sneakers being that I work in the event management side of the marketing industry.
That being said, my personal style is a bit more polished and put together than that of my daily work uniform. This is why on my days off my full time job, I take extra care to put extra thought into my look so it reflects me and my mood .
My personal style ,especially in the fall , is very put together. I love pieces that make you look polished and sophisticated but don’t take a lot of effort to coordinate . Over the years , I have found that there are just a few simple tips and tricks you can use to make yourself look very sophisticated and elegant without spending too much time putting your look together.
These tips will not only help you extend the life and versatility of your wardrobe but also help you look more expensive and shit without actually spending big bucks.and for those pieces you do decide to splurge on, these tips will help you get the best bang for your buck by showing you different ways to wear them.
A Good Coat
When fall comes, I break out all of my jackets. A good statement how is a fashionistas gold mine in her wardrobe. You can throw a jacket over a simple T-shirt or sweater with jeans and somehow , you take a casual look and turn it into a polished ensemble.
Tip: Jackets with volume, texture, or pattern are great visual interest pieces that help you look sophisticated while dressing . They are also easy to pair with simple wardrobe basic pieces like jeans or a skirt with your favorite blouse.
Every girl knows how important a good pair of jeans are. But the right pair of jeans can make or break and out there. Small details such as distressed patches, embroidered patterns, or frayed or distressed hens add texture and interest to your look. I love the way that a distressed dark denim offsets a very conservative or tailored coat to make a well rounded but not too preppy look.
A Classic Shoe
The right pair of shoes can turn the most basic outfit into a full out fashion statement if done correctly . Classic shoe styles such as a pointed pump , block heel pump , or even a mule are sophisticated in nature . When you mix up the classic shape of these shoes with fabrics like velvet or leather ,you add a depth and variety into your look. Warm and bright tones are a great way to utilize color to make your look pop as well .
Sunglasses make a look just feel cool . Pairing shades with a full day look can give you the opportunity to add just one more detail or complimentary piece to make your ensemble complete.
