The Perfect Ruffled Sweater

Y’all, know I love a good sweater, right ?!

As if I haven’t said it enough- sweaters are one of my favorite things about fall. [ see here ] It’s the perfect dress up and dress down piece. Plus, who wants to actually be cold ? Not me.

Dressing up for fall is easy when you want to layer , but it can be difficult when you are looking for simple statement pieces that can stand alone and make an outfit pop . The one thing my cold weather wardrobe needed was statement tops and sweater , so I went on the hunt .

-insert ruffle sweater –

Yeah, I’m pretty much obsessed with everything about this sweater , from the color to the overall warmth of the fabric it’s perfect for a casual fall look . It was the perfect look for a day or errands and location scouting with my best friend Gabby last week. With the sudden cool breezes of fall causing us to change our summer wardrobe fairly quickly, this perfect sweater was the exact piece I needed to transition into fall. I happened upon this look while shopping for my Halloween accessories at Charlotte Russe  ( for a costume that did not come in on time — but more about that fiasco later this week ) and I instantly fell in love.

The ruffle sleeve is a huge trend that has crossed the seasonal lines and following us into autumn with thicker fabrics and knit, jewel and early tones, and more dramatic flair.

The best thing about a ruffle sleeved top is that does all the heavy lifting in your ensemble. You can pair your top with your favorite pair of jeans as sneakers , throw on a dad hat for a street style look, or grab your favorite heels and get sexy with a skirt.

Versatility is the key .

From the wildly dramatic and printed ruffles to the demure and conservative accent , this style is a keeper on constant repeat this fall/ winter.

So , you know, don’t judge me if you see this styled 500 ways because it’s kind of my current favorite thing in my closet.

What’s your take on the ruffle trend ?
