But I guess we say that every year, and 2016’s hot mess was proof that JUST claiming it will be a good year is not enough to actually HAVE a good year. 2016 taught us we need to be prepared to deal with adversity, taught us to be humble and maybe even showed that we need to learn a little more about ourselves to actually improve who we are.

This is the time to increase our awareness of self, improve the way we see the world, and how we treat others. In an effort to expand your growth during your journey of Becoming You and self mastery.

2017 is the YEAR OF MINDFULNESS

 

This challenge is a 12 month journey of self discovery, growth, and development combined with actionable steps for real success. .Becoming mindful in 2017 means experiencing your most transformative year of your life thus far. Learn yourself more, Grow exponentially. The control , calm, and happiness you seek in your life is broken down into 12 personal growth ideas to help you create the life you want while appreciating and loving your life as it currently is.

This challenge is different than most. It will challenge you to examine how you think about your life and the world you live in. It will help you gain the control of the direction of your life you are seeking and improve the way you feel about yourself. We are keeping it together in 2017 . Self care is an important part of personal growth and development, but most importantly it makes you FEEL good. Everyone deserves to feel good inside and out . Mindful living challenges us to step out of our thoughts and emotions from the past and future to PAUSE.
Awareness of the present moment expands our ability to appreciate the life we currently have. If you truly want to experience joy in your everyday living, the exploration of present living will be a breath of fresh air in the midst of all your to do lists, projects, and responsibilities.

The flowers of May will be blooming just in time for you to stop and take a big sniff! Together we will take a journey to increase inner peace by releasing weight of the past and the pressures of the future with mindfulness. Open your eyes to the beauty of today and live in the present.

If you are feeling STUCK in your current situation, hopeless and powerless it may be time to take a lesson in optimism . Your mind is the most powerful tool you have, when you can learn to understand and control your thoughts you regain the POWER in the direction of your life.

Optimism is a muscle, it can be developed and strengthen over time. It is a myth that some people are just happier people. Everyone has the ability and deserves to experience a happy and fulfilling life!

The cycle of negative self talk, depression, and low self esteem can be broken. You have the ability to change how you feel by practicing positive thinking

 

 

Yup — that means you. But truth is , you will not be happy waiting for it to just happen to you. You have visualize happiness , you must work for it . Learned Optimism is more than just saying one affirmation in the morning with the expectation that your entire day will be great after that . NEWSFLASH : Your brain MAY be ruining your life !

Every move and decision you make in your life is influenced by a core group of beliefs and ideas that you have about the world and the people are you. Your mindset and the way you think is a reflection of those ideas and beliefs. But what if some of those ideas are wrong ? What if those beliefs are the reason you are missing out on joy? You can change your mindset and the way you make decisions in order to change the course of your life.

You cannot change the trajectory of your life, thinking and doing the same old things you have always done. A change of mindset will gift you a change in your life.

If you want the life you want to be the life you have –the decisions you make will need fine tuning. We all want to be happy, in our own individual ways we desire a life that gives us a sense of purpose and pride. This is not a fairy tale type of wish, it is within your control to change how you think. Your mindset matters. The way you think matters. You have the same 24 hours in the day as Beyonce!

That’s what they say right ? Its written on mugs and journals and t- shirts as a constant reminder that you can get as much done as you WANT to in a day . Thats SOUNDS good , but most of the time our issue is not the amount of hours in the day, but instead – what we do with those hours.

Do you want to know how some people just get more done ? How about ACTUALLY becoming one of those people? #GOALS, right!

Being a productive person does NOT have to be a contract to work tirelessly. It is impossible to live a mindful life and happy if you are working tirelessly. You must be able to be present and still, to smell to roses and just relax sometimes. Life requires balance. When you manage your time well, you gift yourself the ability to do more of what you WANT because you already accomplished what you NEED to do. Becoming productive is powerful thing – you will no longer be a slave to time.

September-Adversity

 

 

Wouldn’t it be amazing if everything always went your way? It would just be dandy if life played out the plans we put on paper perfectly. To my dismay ( and probably yours too) life just doesn’t work like that. Sometimes things in your life are on the up and up – things are progressing and you’re moving towards your goals killin’ it and slaying and then WHAM, BAM, THANK YOU MAM- life is hitting you from all angles.

Yup, when adversity hits sometimes things can get a little messy . Our plans seems pointless, the feelings of being lost sweeps over and all the while you are left to sit and keep your life afloat while you handle things.


How do you deal with adversity ? What is your plan when trouble hits ? Do you have the mindset to face adversity and overcome?

 

 

Adversity has the ability to overwhelm some people and break them down completely, others are able to take their unfortunate situation and thrive. What separates the two ? An understanding of adversity and mastery of self. We cannot control what happens to us, but we can control what we respond to ad how we do so. Things are getting scary in October and hiding under the covers is NOT an option.

Fear is nothing to eliminate, but instead just another tool TO USE on our personal journeys. Do you understand your fear? Are you aware of how it affects your life ?

The most powerful and liberated people in the world live with fear, everyday – but they have learned it is not a controlling force. You fears don’t have to stop you but can instead fuel you, they don’t have to slow you down but can increase your momentum. Mindfulness and gratitude are like two adorable twin babies holding hands, a perfect little duo. Living a present life is difficult without the ability to appreciate that which exists around you. This is where gratitude comes in.

Most of us have been told to be grateful for what we have , remind to recognize that we have so much more than others- and therefore shouldn’t complain about any adversities we may be facing at this time. But somehow, this doesn’t always make how we FEEL go away . Then you sit there feeling kind of guilty and still a bit crappy without a solution.


What if I told you , you have been doing gratitude wrong ? What if you could find the true joy in the current life you live while still working to become your best self?


It’s seriously possible. The month of November dives into one of the most important principles of happy living. Learn how to utilize the practices of gratitude to improve every area of your life. December – Reflection

 

A mindful year, a more mindful you- I bet you can FEEL the difference by now. We all grow, at some points of our lives more than others; but this year was jam packed with a serious dive into what it meant to live a more present and mindful life.

You wanted more out of life, you desired a deeper understanding of self -and you did not wait for it to be handed to you. That’s what I am talking about — you know what you want , and decided to go after it. You are AMAZING! … and now here you are! What are the differences in who you were one year ago , before you took the step to practice mindfulness.

There is an opportunity in the past to learn so much, with a fresh set of eyes your year will be brought into perspective with a look at your personal goals for growth, wellness, and overall happiness. Creating an even better year than the year previous is a gift wrapped in the success and failures of the past – the lessons we have the opportunities to learn are the gems to happier living.
