It is officially sweater weather!
I could not be more excited about the weather right now. After a very warm August and September it was a pleasant surprise to wake up to a nice chilly Monday morning yesterday. I walked out the house and immediately thought of five different sweaters and jackets I could not wait to put on.
If you’ve been keeping up with my recent sale post I have not stopped going on about how much I love fall weather and fall fashion. There’s something beautiful about the transition periods in both our personal lives, the seasons, and nature around us. That’s why fall is one of my favorite seasons of all. Not to mention the opportunity to mix and match some awesome fabrics prince and textures with our favorite fall styling method, layering.
For me fall weather has one major staple. It is a great foundation for layering, a cute way to stay put together but still casual, or The perfect addition to that skirt or a pair of slacks for a more professional and pulled together a look.
I’m talking about sweaters. Your girl loves sweaters! And I am not ashamed to say I am racking up on them as much as possible because I honestly feel like you can never have too many. A good quality sweater will last you years and years and really will be a stand out piece in your outfit.
That’s exactly why I am kicking off sweater season with this freaking perfect blue sweater from lands end. I mean ,if you’re looking for something that looks pulled together and gives you a polished pop at the same time — this is the look you want.
Sweaters are great for layering as well , you can put a collared shirt with a cool print underneath, layer it over a summer dress for a fall edit to your already established wardrobe, or just take a page out of the style book of simplicity and pair it with a classic jacket boots and jeans as I did in this look.
